Genuine Thermos Thermos is the world's leading manufacturer of heat-insulating bottles and bags. The thermos was originally invented by Sir James Dewar, a scientist at the University of Oxford, as early as 1892, but he was sadly late in patenting his invention. In 1904, two German glassblowers organized a competition to find a name for a new type of bottle. The winning proposal was Thermos from the Greek word Therme, meaning hot. The men patented the name and founded a company of the same name.
The first bottles of Thermos were made in the British Isles as early as the same year, and they quickly became a concept. Therefore, heat-insulating bottles are also known in Finland by the common name thermos.
Today, Thermos manufactures a wide range of heat-insulating bottles and bags. The product range includes basic hikers for hikers, mountaineer products with top features as well as designer cooler bags. Thermos ensures the quality and reliability of its products by using only the best materials and carefully testing the products at all stages of production.
